1. Flynn got 3 years for 26 million, 10 of which is guaranteed.

Just for some perspective -- Drew Brees when he signed with the Saints in 2006 after getting hurt in the last game of the year signed for 6 years and 60 million, but only 10 of that was guaranteed.

They got the same guaranteed money. Crazy how sports can work. I am excited for Flynn. Will make rooting against Harbaugh in the NFC West even more fun. I actually like Pete Carroll.
  2. Flynn has a two year tryout. If he does well, he will get a new contract before this one is up. If he doesn't do well, he will get cut after year two and its back to being a career backup except now with a little more change in his pocket.

Its good to be the Flynn.
  3. he'll be buying a nice house.
  4. More than a house. Always comes across as a smart mature dude. He will do well in his career and really does well coming off the bench. Lets see. LSU staring as a 5th year senior and the outcome was?? Starting the game last season for AR at GB and he broke the franchise record. There is a pattern here huh?
  5. Matt to the Shehawks..........LaRon to the Cropdusters..........two teams I dislike.....
  6. but he's not guaranteed the starter spot:

  7. Congrats to Matt Flynn, even though I really don't like the Seahawks, guess I have a reason to follow them now.
  8. one big plus about the Seahawks is they have one of the most beautiful training facilities in the NFL, a 200,000 square foot facility (2nd largest in the NFL) on the shores of Lake Washington:
