From what I have seen Les and Crowton are utilizing the quarterbackS very well. IMO, If he had used this philosophy last year we could have been playing in Atlanta.

well, kinda reminds me of another qb lsu had named matt. at least over throws are better than throwing into double coverage all the time. matt's decision making is clearly better than jr's was and i think rp looked more comfortable playing tonight.

    jeez....

is our qb not allowed to be human?:dis:

we just had two 40+ point wins. one over a top 10 team. i'd say that our qb's have had a decent start to the season.

i am on the phone with orlando. she'll tell you what she thinks of your post when she gets back online.

We looked really good tonight. Flynn played an excellent game. VaTech's freshman qb looked pretty impressive. How awesome are Hester and Williams?

On the other hand, I guess we're just privileged to be in a position to be able to nitpick after an incredibly decisive victory (not that I'm going to.)

I mean, look, we could be Auburn...

Exactly, just knowing that makes life so much better. Seems like everyyear that Auburn loses to an inferior team at home...

Every QB can do wrong and every QB can improve his game. Nobody is perfect. Even the great Peyton Manning overthrows a WR sometimes, well except when he plays the Saints. No QB will a 100% completion. But would you rather be in Michigan's or Notre Dame's shoes right now??

Flynn had a good game. He manages the game well and clearly the team responds to him. He is our starter this year and so is doing well. No interceptions in the first two games (and VT has a good defense, LSU’ s offense is just that much better). I have said before that Flynn paid his dues and now is his time – some thought I was saying he should be the starter because he hung around and played back up to JR. Not true. Flynn is our starter because (i) his talent; (ii) he clearly has the respect of the team; (iii) he is a dedicated player and is dedicated to LSU; (iv) he understands the offensive system and handles it well.

Many say the RP has more talent and I think that is probably true, but Flynn is a leader. RP is a great talent but IMO it will take this year and his working hard to become a leader and have the respect of the team. He is doing well and is our future leader. 2008-09 will be RP’s time. This is Flynn’s time.

I really like the way we use RP in games. This tells me he is working hard and earning the coaches respect for his ability to lead the team. The future at LSU is bright for RP.

Only one thing I can add to the almost PERFECT post...the future of LSU is bright WITH RP, as well as FOR RP. Matt Flynn is the man, though...and he's playing great.:thumb:
