Not sure how you got that from what I posted.

This thread is about flying mallards but I was actually thinking about your stuffing your duck.

Man these phuckers are pissing me off. As soon as I change their/the chickens' water, they plop, drop, and waddle in it. Gets it all dirty. I'm going to put a goat panel over their tub of drinking water. I have them two other, bigger tubs to play in the water. They aren't satisfied messing up two.

Drinking water you city slicker. I have two tubs for their play time. I clipped their wings (figuratively). I put a 2X4 wire over the watering trough. The chickens can easily stick their heads in but the ducks can't sit and shit in it.

I think it goes without saying I know less than nothing about raising ducks not to mention what the hell is 2x4 wire, two tubs, clipped wings, chickens sticking their head somewhere, two turtle doves and a partridge in a pear tree.....however, fortunately for you I'm bursting with common sense and here to help.

Why on earth would you try to have "play time" water and "drinking" water in different locations for ducks? They are not humans, ducks don't know the difference do they I mean they are ducks, ducks like all water right? Or am I now aware of how smart ducks really are? Everytime I see a duck at the park or in water they look to be playing and drinking in the same water. I think you should just have one water source.
