I think to date our defense has been extremely disciplined, staying in position more often than not. The dbs have been beaten a few times, but for the most part they've been where they needed to be. Do you know what player blew his coverage when Mississippi St scored their last TD?
Sammy Joseph gave up the TD, although he did have pretty good coverage on the play. Conner's prayer was answered on that pass.
Joseph never lost his man, he was just a step behind him in single coverage and the QB was desperate for a score and threw an excellent pass.
Last year when Florida went to five receivers in the spread, LSU blitzed and got multiple sacks on Leak and many hurries. Bo Pellinidared them to beat LSU's cover corners in single coverage. Florida made adjustments after that game to protect Leak. It will be interesting to see how Pellini defends the spread this year. Meyer will have a plan for dealing with the blitz. Pellini will no doubt have something ready for Florida. We don't have the same cover corners this year but our safeties and linebackers can blitz effectively.
So far this year, we haven't needed the blitz to create pressure. Nobody has been able to block our front four.
Our D should be fine, even last year we held Florida to 206 yards of total offense...i say we give up maybe around 250 this time  and if we can just score 20ish points we should win
