Poor Corso, that stroke or whatever he had took it all out of the guy... He is basically what Joe Pa was....a mascot.
I hope you're right. For most of the half I was thinking I hadn't seen a team man handled like Auburn was doing to FSU since USC's 55 19 (or whatever it was) beat down on Oklahoma.
But Izzy, who goes into a National Championship game and expect to put it away at half? They had no false belief that they would put the game away in the first half. FSU had plenty of mistakes too. A lot were from being out-played and stemmed from AU keeping them confused. Still, they had WAY overthrown passes, fumble, etc. too. It's called football- those things accompany the game and cut both ways. That hurry-up and time of poss for AU's offense will start to show on FSU's defense in the 4th. They're not used to going the distance.
I think he is saying mentally what is the motivation to stay up after that half, over confident, worried. Its a hard spot to be in.
No doubt. Their offense is built around keeping the foot on the gas. Think about it. Perhaps he was but dam, if playing for a title after the year they had last year ain't enough...
