I don't really think so. The validity of the degrees is just called into question by university snobs. I've taught many kids over the past 16 years. Some of them couldn't write a full sentence. Others of them are at Harvard, MIT, and the Service Academies. I'm proud of the kids in the Ivy League and other prestigious schools, but for my own daughters, I would think the money spent on a private university education probably wouldn't be worth all that much. They can go to a public university, receive a fine education, and have a happy life.
don't know about the complete list, but #10 best is closer to being #10 worst than they are to being #1 best. so apparently, the rest of the country is grouped together pretty tightly.
