Went to 5 guys for the first time over thanksgiving break. I'd say it is just a little under the hype, but that's only because there is so much hype for it. Thought the burger was good but the fries were to greasy for my liking. I can't really consider it fastfood when you spend $10 on a meal. Prob won't go back unless someone else takes me but it is still pretty good. If I'm gonna spend that much, might as well eat at a restaurant or something.
I've eaten at a couple of Five Guys. The one in Towne Center and a couple of others around the country. I find the burger okay. Fries are pretty good. Overall, not bad. I prefer Lee's Hamburgers out of New Orleans. Next to Port of Call, Lee's is probably the best burger around.
I went to Smash Burger in Houston, there are several open now. Pricey, but a damn good burger and fries. I poped for a chocolate malt, made with Hagen Daz ice cream. Had to wait a few minutes, but that was a real treat!!!
I've been to the Five Guys in Nationals stadium in our nations capital. Disgusting.. but it's stadium food there. The other Five Guys have ranged from disgusting to pretty good. So the quality varies from establishment.
MOST OVERRATED CRAP I HAVE EVER TASTED. I HAVE HAD FAST FOOD BURGERS THAT ARE WAY BETTER; BUT ITS A NEW THING SO THE STUPID SHEEPEOPLE OF BR WILL FLOCK TO IT
There is so much better food in Baton Rouge. I wouldn't think of going to a Five Guys burger in Baton Rouge.
