It's an average burger. Better than most fast food burgers but not as good as a proper burger made at a good bar and grill like Georges or Brewbachers or a diner burger like Louies or Rouls. Get the little hamburger. The regular hamburger is on the same bun and they just double the meat and the toppings and it is a sloppy mess.
I like it a lot. Actually, I prefer the cajun fries to the regular, which I find bland. I gotta make sure to not go crazy on the peanuts, though.
I think of all the things we disagree on, the quality of the burgers from Georges is probably the most fundamental. You really like them, and I don't. I remember when they were good, but in the last three to five years I have just found them to be very bland and usually overcooked. I also think Brewbachers are pretty awful, even worse than Georges. I would take a Five Guys burger before either Georges or Brewbachers. I prefer the burgers at Louies, and Roul's when he is there. The rest of the time it is hit or miss.
Gotta admit, although I like my steaks with a pulse, I prefer my hamburgers burnt. I don't like mushy textures, including that of a pink burger.
Five Guys is an above average fast food burger. That is all. Any local place with fresh made burgers beats it easily. Including Georges or Brewbachers. They might not be the best but they beat any fast food place hands down.
