As I recall, most of the early part of the 2000's, it was the winner between LSU and AUBURN that decided the SEC West division champion.
I wouldn't mind Mizzoo as the 14 team. I also think the Iron Bowl needs to be on a rotating basis. The rivalry needs to be brought to some form of civility. Its gotten out of hand and has become toxic and a train wreck for the rest of the world to watch and laugh. Auburn, being in the geographic location its in needs to be moved to the east. It would actually strengthen that division. I think Florida and Tennessee will get stronger and putting Auburn over there would give them a legit third team that could compete with west teams.
If the rivalry between bama and au gets any more heated, someone will probably be killed, sadly. Some idiot will push someone down the stairs or throw something out of a window and kill someone. Rivalries are fun but what is going on in Alabama is a feud. It's a family fight and sometimes emotions cause people to do things they normally would never imagine doing. If a group of young men , au students,had caught their trees being posioned in the act they would had beaten Harvey to death or close. On the same note, if some bama fans would catch some au punk stealing the bear's body out of his grave they would kill him. See what I mean. It's too personal and I feel it needs go be turned down a notch. Au and bama playing every other year for a while would do that. It's a shame that one of the greatest, if not the greatest, rivalries in college football has turned into something potentially dangerous but it has. It will only take the slightest spark to ignite a battle royal gang fight involving hundreds of drunk fans this year during the iron bowl. Let someone wear a shirt making fun of au's trees and there will probably be a fight.

Basketball, and the other Olympic sports. I am willing to bet outside of football A&M Will have an SEC championship next year in a sport or two.
I agree 1000%. I don't even enjoy or like the game anymore to be honest. I want to win it REAL BAD but for the wrong reasons. It has gone beyond ignorant to how the rivalry has turned.
So that should effect LSU much more than Alabama. Our basketball program will hold their own. And lord help them when it comes to spring ball.
