Speaking of stadiums, there was talk of adding to tiger stadium. They know if they add the seats they will sell them. Are the discussing adding upper decks to the endzones anymore? I would love to see tiger stadium be the largest in the country.
The way the stadium is currently configured, it is set to connect the east and west upper decks on the south side (I don't think TS will ever be able to connect the upper decks on the north side given the proximity of the road, etc.). But I don't know that LSU is all that convienced that the additional seats WOULD be all sold/filled for the large % of the season. Yeah, they would get filled for the big games...but what about games against the likes of Fresno St, Troy, etc?? Stadium expansion would be a huge under-taking financially (you've got to relocate the south side score board, etc.) Granted, LSU is easily set up to get seating pretty close to 100k, but will the additional cost to add 5-8k additional seats and relocation of a scoreboard offset the cost and would they be filled every game the first time LSU is in the middle of an 8-4 or 9-3 type season?? You forget that, yes, while we're 5-0 and ranked #1 or 10-win seasons have been happening quite a bit lately, we're definately currently spoiled.
SEC North Missouri/West Virginia/Virginia Tech, Arkansas, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Tennessee, South Carolina, Ole Miss. SEC South Texas A&M, LSU, Alabama, Auburn, Mississippi St, Georgia, Florida. Fixed. Before you holler, no team remains relevant year after year...so no division is easier/harder than the other.
I know it's not a popular idea ... but ... I think Bama should move to the East. That way LSU and Bama won't be knocking each other out of the dance until the SEC CG.
My understanding is its simply internal politics. The big money Arky boosters insist on having their one game a year in that POS stadium in Little Rock.
Alabama and Auburn out, Missouri and aTm in. That would make the east division the toughest conference in America. LSU would now be in charge of the sisters of the poor.
.... And guaranteed to play the SEC CG every year  It wouldn't necessarily mean we decrease our schedule strength .. we could still play Bama and Florida during the regular season. Surely you're not saying that Auburn is much of an addition to the east??
They'll just raise the price of all stadium tickets to help pay for the expansion. Be careful what you wish for.
Missouri brings the Kansas City and St. Louis markets and midwest media coverage. That trumps a lot of minor issues.
