We eat em and sometimes do something with the skin if it’s a good one but this one was in bad need of a shed so the skin was in really ooor shape. Lots of scales missing and dull

Damn......that's a big rattler. I hate Alaskan winters, but I like the idea of no snakes. Growing up in the dugout duck blind in the levee in the rice field, I always thought what would I do if I came face to face with a cottonmouth.

Really? I've never eaten rattle (or any) snake before. How do you prepare them? Not sure how you answer this question, but what do they taste like? (The most common response to this type of question is 'chicken')

I've never eaten any snake but I've heard people say they taste like chicken. I suppose anything that doesn't taste like beef, pork or seafood tastes like chicken.

Fried or grilled generally. It tastes like whatever you season/marinate it in.....kinda like chicken I guess in that neither have their own flavor so if you season it like you do chicken it’ll tastes like chicken I guess
