Firing Miles would be both dumb and unprecedented

we have never lost 3 games in a row under Miles, much less blown off the field in all 3

in fact, we had only lost back to back games twice in the past 10 1/2 years

The game plan today was good, but it's hard to complete passes when you can't put the ball where it needs to go. That didn't even happen in pitches in the backfield. It's also hard when every other good play you make is called back. These are problems that can be fixed. Not in a few practices, but they can be fixed between now and the start of next season.

I think we're similar to the Auburn team in 2003 that almost got Tuberville fired, for instance. That team lost to USC 23-0, to unranked Georgia Tech 17-3, to Ole Miss 24-20, to LSU 31-7, and to Georgia 26-7/ They went undefeated the next season.

I think we're similar to the 8-4 in 2002 that we had that preceded a national championship. Lost to Va. Tech 26-8, to Auburn 31-7, to Alabama 31-0, to Arkansas 21-20, and to Texas 35-20.

I have to say I was a strong supporter of Les. I believed he needed to to regain the fire and aggressiveness of 5 years ago but I thought he had it in him. The past 2 years and especially the last 3 weeks have given lie to that hope.
Les is a good man and was a good to great coach. However it seems he became afraid to lose what he had and by doing so has lost it all. I would like to give him another year but I just don't think he has it in him. He became too comfortable, hired old men to support him and has no clue how to recover.
I'm afraid we will fall out of the position we had as I have zero confidence in Alleva or the Board of Supervisors to find their ass with both hands much less a high quality coach but I think there is little choice. We will likely spend a decade in the wilderness but I think it's better to star now than wait 3-4 more years and have to do it anyway.
SAD STATE OF AFFAIRS AND NONE OF YOU MINIONS SHOULD FEEL GOOD ABOUT IT.

I wish but I just don't think Les or his staff have it in them to do so.

If you take last year's team that played Arkansas and Auburn, I think we beat that team today. On the day we beat Florida this year, I think we beat any version of the LSU team that played last year. So I think our best this year is better than last and our worst is better than last.

Obviously we hope you're wrong, but I suspect you're on target. I wonder if Alleva can convince TAF to using a nationally respected search firm?

I don't feel good about it at all. Would've loved to see Miles turn it around but the man doesn't have it in him and never will. Should've changed years ago to a more current offensive philosophy. Like the man but he's not a good coach.

Get off your high horse. I spent years of frustration watching this team, struggling against the Troys and E Michigans of the world and supported Miles through it all. Last year was my breaking point. We're not enjoying the collapse of the LSU football program, we're calling for a change on behalf of the program. You pumpers should not enjoy mediocrity and seeing this program sink below Ole Miss. Shame on you!
