Firing Miles would be both dumb and unprecedented

Peveto was bad his 1st stint here. Why the hell would he hire the guy back?

Because recruiting, apparently. They probably figured they'd just get to that coaching part later once they got their kids to BR.

When he knew he wasn't going to win championships on the field, he figured he'd concentrate on winning the paper championship with recruiting.

    Countless... what, like two?

A head coach who never pretended to be a person who develops quarterbacks. I'm sure it's Miles' fault Lee threw a dozen pick sixes his first season. It's a miracle we won 8 games that year and 9 games the next. When other teams have that kind of situation, they finish with losing records like Texas did after McCoy graduated.

We would have done fine with Perrilloux, but I think Miles did all that could reasonably have been expected there as well.

Mett was good apart from a couple of his games his first season. He also didn't do very well against Ole Miss his second season.

I guess we could have gotten an all-star recruit of some kind in the couple of years in between, but I don't think Studwara had that kind of power. Kragthorpe might have, but Les Miles gave him Parkinson's. I'm just assuming it's Les' fault somehow.

Yeah the following final scores were all defense and special teams...
    LSU 40, Oregon 27
    LSU 47, WVU 21
    LSU 41, Florida 11
    LSU 45, Auburn 10
    LSU 41, Arkansas 17
    LSU 42, Georgia 10

Those opponents were all ranked, by the way.

We scored 35 or more four other times I didn't mention.

We wouldn't have done shit with Perrilloux as long as Miles was coach.

The first TD against Arkansas was a 14-play drive. Pretty neat for defense and special teams. The second TD was special teams, but the third was a rare combination of Jordan Jefferson passes.

Yeah everything Miles touches turns to shit, that's why he's had a better record in more than twice the time than Saban did while he was here.

No, everything Miles doesn't touch doesn't turn to shit, that's why we won with defense for so long.
