I own firejohnbrady.com and I have no idea how to start it up on the web - and, up until the SEC Tournament, I was unsure about actually using it. Anyway, if anyone can convince me of their web abilities I will transfer the domain name to you.
I don't own the website this thread was talking about, I just own another name, firejohnbrady.com, that needs to be started as a real site by someone who knows what they are doing...
Not to be overwhelmingly pro-Brady or rain on anyone's parade. But, I can bring up issues with the following candidates: Tom Izzo- Friend of Coach Saban or no, he's won a national title at MSU, and one could make the argument that basketball has surpassed football in the athletic pecking order at East Lansing. Why would he come to a school where he will FOREVER be third banana (to football and baseball)? Johnny Dawkins- Don't know much about him. But I do know that the one year where Coach K was out most of the season with back surgery, Duke had a losing season, their only one in the last decade. Was he on the staff then? If so, it doesn't speak well of Coach K's supporting cast. If he wasn't, well, we'll just have to evaluate him. But I'd like to see him step out of Coach K's shadow at a mid-major and succeed on his own before we take a chance on him. Mark Few- If he gets to the Final Four this year, forget it. He will then start believing (as will the national media) that it is possible to build a superpower at Gonzaga. All reports I've heard about Few indicate he's happy where he is. Thad Matta- Great candidate. But again, why would he leave a place where he is Top Dog and come to a school where he must be 3rd banana? LSU and the SEC is a bigger stage than Xavier and the A-10, but not by much. Mike Anderson and Jim Christian- This is probably the route we'll have to go; bring in a successful head coach at a mid-major. I'd be willing to check this guy out. John Calipari- Left the UMass program in shambles by pinning all his hopes on one player (Marcus Camby) who turned out to have been ill-gotten gain and got UMass' Final Four forfeited and the program on probation. No thank you. The next basketball coach at LSU needs to be a freakin' Boy Scout; absolutely squeaky clean. We cannot afford anymore NCAA attention, and Calipari attracts the magnifying glass wherever he goes. I'll have to name some folks I've got in mind, but we'll see how tonight's NIT game goes. I'm gonna give my analysis of Brady after the full season is over.
Bad Idea This website thing is a bad idea. I do agree that it is time for John Brady to step down BUT this website is a stupid idea. For us LSU fans to stand behind a website like this is totally classless. This is LSU for goodness sakes. We are supposed to be a classy school with classy fans. If we support a website like this, we might as well be on the same classy standings as Auburn or USC. Wake up people!
they were 9-2 before Coach K went down with his back then Johhny D took over for him... he went 9-11 and duke was 18-13 overall.
Well, it does smack of a freshman year computer science major...but rest assured I'm not behind it... They misspelled experience (experiAnce), LOL! I'd never be so tacky as to start a two-bit site and not use spellcheck...
