Let's take Kendall Beckwith for example. You think he is gonna wanna come back next year, be on the field for 40 minutes, play every snap and have to make 15 tackles a game? Dude is gonna be roached by the end of this season. Even if he isn't ready, should he come back?? However Miles better do some work on him trying to get him back, because he is the most important junior on the team, maybe the most important player not named Fournette.

I completely agree with you. I can't blame kids for wanting to leave early. I would not wanna deal with the BS happening either. It also goes to the other thread of players like Robinson and other in state kids leaving the state. Honestly I fully agree with you on Robinson and fuck him or any La kid not wanting to go to LSU. However it is getting to the point where more and more La kids are feeling that way, which sucks. We lose out too many kids now to Bama.

It used to be that way; Saban, winning, and national relevance changed that. It wasn't for the love of state, LSU was a legit NC contender and that's what draws these kids. Miles was given the keys to something that didn't exist before Saban and we're slowly returning to what we had before under Miles. Now the excuses are coming - "we can't match them on talent." What changed? That's a rhetorical question, son.

I'm going to Home Depot for some pitchforks if we lose this weekend.

The motivation for most of these guys was never love of state, it's capitalism.

If that's what it is, unless you're saying Alabama pays its players, which I wouldn't doubt, Cam Robinson would have just as good a chance at going to the NFL from Baton Rouge.

LSU turned into the U when Saban was here, status. Now Bama is the U. Thats where the elite who have no loyalties wanna go. Hard to argue with it.

What deteriorating? We've improved over last year. There were people on this board predicting we would lose 6 SEC games based on trends. Regardless, we are a better team than last year; and we will be a better team next year.
Geez people we lost a game. Step back from the edge.

I missed the articles where players were quoted that they were leaving for the NFL for reasons other than a paycheck. Where they said they just had to get away from 'the BS' happening. Could you point me in the right direction?

Of course they are going to say they're leaving for the paycheck. I'm sure that is a part of it, but most of the kids leaving are third rounders or lower, many would do better returning and making more money by improving stock. Since '11 LSU has lost a lot of players, which is when things have started to regress.

Oh yeah, I guess you're right. That shit I'm seeing with my eyes is a mirage and that shit you're telling me I'm seeing is real. Miles shits excellence.

You're telling me that because we were awful last year and people's hopes were shot, and we've surpassed low expectations, we're improving? Geaux UGA! Woof.

We haven't been in the conversation for years. That's deterioration.
