With scholarship limits, how can stanford field 33 teams for different sports, and I think LSU only has 16 teams total?
Stanford doesn't give athletic scholarships from what I understand. I have a friend who's a gymnast on scholarship there. He tried to explain it to me. I'm not sure what exactly it is, but it doesn't work like other major programs (LSU, Texas, Georgia...).
We don't have those because no other teams in the conference or region have em. You have to have someone to play without traveling cross country for every game or match.
