It may have been smart, but if you are a voter it is your obligation to vote. Tressel needs to grow some balls if he thinks his vote is gonna piss people off. Even if he voted Michigan nobody would have cared, its understandable to boost the teams in your own conference. And for those who don't know Howard Schellenberger was the guy that jump started the miami program in the 80's, thats probably why he has a vote.
This is why the human polls are meaningless. They all have agendas. Smellenburger's is to try and uplift the wannabe mid majors. Look at his votes for Boise State, Louisville, etc. He and most others have no interest in determining the true rankings. As for Tressell, it's funny he had no problem voting in all of the other weeks. Could the fact that they are publicized be a factor? He's a f***ing coward.
This proves Les Miles has no agenda. Because if Michigan had held on in the polls and LSU was playing USC in the Rose, wouldn't you want USC as highly ranked as possible? Wow, this is a renaissance man.
Stoops had his Sooner's #4. I think that's because when they lost to Oregon, he just acted like OU won the game and voted accordingly that week.
Very true. We now see how big of an impact bad calls can make. Both OU and LSU could have had legit shots at the MNC game.
I think it's time to schedule Florida Atlantic and New Mexico. Then work our way down the rest of that list.
