Nice finish. I’m aggravated at our offense, but can’t say I’m not impressed some by this ranking. Pretty strong. If O sticks with E, I sure hope he’s right. Our offense did look better to finish the season (albeit against lesser defenses and not without red zone struggles).
How many years of what-ifs will we live through because LSU can't get their shit together on offense? Two head coaches, six (?) OCs, revolving door position coaches, and the same shit year after year.
Notre Dam at #5 is a fucking joke. They were exposed and overrated (barely beat Ball fucking State and Pitt).
Its foolish to complain about a top 6 finish when everyone thought our season would be in the toilet.
Clemson showed what an efficient offense looks like. To do what they did against Bama’s D, shows what real execution can do for you.
It's true. The record is great and the Fiesta Bowl is great exposure after years of Music City, Capital One, etc. It's tough to have a team like Alabama standing between LSU and all of its ambitions. Win the West, win the SEC, make the Playoff. 29-0 was frustrating because it told us what we fear most: the gap between the two teams is widening, not shrinking. A loss is a loss, but Alabama shut out LSU, in Death Valley, and they barely got their uniforms dirty. I don't want LSU's plan for greatness to be: wait for Nick Saban to leave. I want to beat that guy. I don't see it happening with who's in charge. I hope I'm wrong.
You can be critical of a floundering O while still giving credit to a smothering D, solid STs and team play in general. Thinking these opinions are mutually exclusive is well, full taint.
