As for the "June" part of your question, trump and his lawyers made written representation to the DOJ/FBI that everything had been returned. They were lying. How the FBI got further word that they were still holding onto government documents is part of the sealed basis of the affidavit, and why trump is so desperately looking now for the "rat" in his midst.

Declassified or not some of the documents were some of the most sensitive around. What possible use could Trump make of them? That's probably one of the reasons Donnie is having difficulty finding a reputable lawyer to represent him. That and he has a reputation for not paying lawyers.
