1. Yes. He is the authority. Like literally.
  2. Obama signed the EO that certify a the president as the #1 classifying authority and the VP#2. The rest goes down to the specific agency in question.
  3. Then were a large number of documents still marked Top Secret?
  4. According to who?
  5. If you have a TS document that the president has it will always have the TS marking. The two ways a president can declass is simply saying so or stamping it.

3rd, he can send it through a channel to actually remove the marking. This is what you would see for large swaths of documents in which it has to go through all the channels to remove the original classification markings.

If you have a TS document that the president is reading and he says “this is declassified” then that’s all that need be done as the law states the president is the #1 authority.
  6. Why do you think the FBI would get & execute a search warrant if they didn't think classified material was on site?
  7. [/QUOTE]
To say a president can "simply say" any highly sensitive information critical to national security is now declassified and it automatically becomes declassified lacks any kind of common sense. I expect you to push back on it, but come on. These are a couple of articles that are short, easy to read and make sense when you're talking about declassifying info that often is the key to national security. But I'm pretty sure a court will end up having to rule.

  8. I don’t really care of your opinion. I worked on the SIPRNET and my job was specifically IA for the AirForce. AKA I was in the SCIF. I trained and certified on handling classified information for the government and passed all the exams to do such.

I posted the EO from Obama designating The President as an Original Authority.

Feel free to keep posting articles. I posted law.

  9. Some “whistleblower”

same reason they investigated him over Russia and Ukraine. Aka. TDS.
  10. Maybe it was a Trump insider who knew was in Trump's residence.
