They are going to get Trump on something, even if they have to make it up. They have been trying to get him on something for over 6 years. Sooner or later they will get something to stick. Never mind if it is legit or not. They have not stopped and it doesn't look like they will ever stop. They have proven they will make stuff up to get warrants and go fishing for anything. I hate to think federal law enforcement would do that but they don't exactly have a good track record. Just consider: This one is obvious: - As trump is a known mercenary grifter there is no other plausible reason that he would steal and hang on to those documents except to profit from them. These are more speculative, but very disturbing: - Jared Kushner recently received $2 billion from the Saudis. - 2017: trump gave (sold?) classified information received from Israel to Putin, enraging the Israelis and breaking their trust in the American administration. - Those documents were unsecured at Mar-a-Lago for over a year, and we recall that Chinese foreign nationals have said they were invited by trump to the facility.
Liz Cheney swore an oath of allegiance to this country and to our Constitution, not to the Republican Party, you hack. And she's been absolutely correct to hold trump accountable for violating HIS oath. trump left the White House 17 months ago. I suspect that the FBI and DOJ have been suspicious for a while that trump was hanging on to nuclear documents, but inasmuch as we're talking about a former president and that an intrusion into his personal residence would be an historical precedent, it took more than suspicion to make a move. I believe they recently got solid evidence from an insider. Curious, though, that you think that just because trump has hung on to illegal documents for a long period of time it means he's entitled to them. Well, I doubt you would grant such leniency to Obamas, Clintons, or Bidens.
