Everytime I go to Tiger Stadium something memorable happens to me, even if we run out of time and and we dont have more points then the visiting team. But Tiger Stadium has always givin me memories that will last with me forever. Thats why I love it.
Here's an off-color Tiger Stadium moment for you all: 1989, my grandfather had prostate surgery a week or so prior to the game. The doctor told him he would have to be back in a week to have the catheter taken out, which would make him miss the Bama-LSU game. "No dice", says my grandfather, "leave it in til after the game." So we go to Baton Rouge with my grandfather catheterized. He brags that he won't have to wait in line for restroom, he can "just go." So we are in the motorhome lot by Friday afternoon partying with some great LSU fans who fed us and hosted us for 2 days. On Saturday (this is the good part) we get out and he is sitting there drinking coffee and the LSU cheerleaders walk by and one of them gives my grandfather a hug. My 60-something year old grandfather says, with a straight face, "looks like this catheter might have to come out for a little while." Classic.
I hope you understand I was referring to the sense of humor and not the actual thought of the act. :hihi:
As silly as this may sound at first, the Tulane game this year. But there is good reason. When you do without something for so long, you forget what you are missing until you get it again.
