Seriously? 30 posts and no one says fleur de lis. That's messed up.

I know they are only here on the left coast but Round Table pizza is better than any I have had outside of Chicago.

We used to go to Shakeys Pizza in Lake Charles for all of the b-day parties. Does any one know if it is still there?

Worst pizza actually can be found in Italy! Little or no sauce, egg baked in the middle.

In Jax, probably Papa Johns. There is much better pizza here, but they don't do delivery.

It is my firm belief that Domino's thin-crust pepperoni is the finest pizza available (but it's gotta be hot & fresh).

I don't eat pizza much from national chains anymore.

Mesquite Tiger is right about Brooklyn's; there is one in a shopping center across the street from my neighborhood.

Also, there is a place called Chicago Street Pizza in Plano that has great Chicago pizza. It's not as great as Giordano's in Chicago, but it's still pretty good.

Another famous Dallas pizza restaurant is Campisi's. It has the crispy thin crust, very similar to Fleur de Lis.

I miss Wesley's pizza in Baton Rouge. We used to go there a lot when I was a kid.

Tommy's Pizza in Hammond. Sweet sauce, hands down.

I have great memories of that pizza as a child. We had one in Shreveport. Somebody told me a couple of the corp officers embezzled millions in the 80's, went to jail, but did not give the $ back. Guess they had a nice pension when they got out, but most of the franchises closed shortly after. Wikipedia lists most of them today are in California, where they started.

Surprised nobody from North La. has mentioned Johnny's Pizza. My favorite when I get back home. In Houston, I would say Late Nite Pie, but it sure isn't national. Unreal pizza, and they deliver until 3am. Hard to beat.

Gone for 20 years. They had good pizza, though. And the banjo man would give coupons for free beer if you knew the answers to music trivia questions and I was always very trivial. Got a lot of free beers.
