your lyric reminded me of a story about a year ago, when a 16 year old was singing that song at a tailgate and asked what a pop top was. i'm too old.:dis:
staceyo got me thinking of BTE. better than ezra-southern gurl "Scent of pine drifting by. Her hand traces lazy on your neck. Sunlight through the trees recalls a better time. Kids and dogs running by, She smiles as she drinks ice tea, Retire to the room, it's easy to see." better than ezra- this time of year "Well, there's a football in the air, Across a leaf blown field. Yeah, and there's your first car on the road, And the girl you'd steal. So go on with yourself If there's a feeling that there's something else. Seems like it's always understood This time of year."
one more..... Oasis- don't look back in anger "So I start the revolution from my bed Cos you said the brains I have went to my head Step outside the summertime's in bloom Stand up beside the fireplace Take that look from off your face You ain't ever gonna burn my heart out So Sally can wait, she knows its too late as we're walking on by Her soul slides away, but don't look back in anger I hear you say"
One of my favorites that I play on the piano sometimes has a few verses that I like; might not be correct word for word but something like this: I go for younger women, lived with several awhile..... I've done a bit of smugglin', I've run my share of grass, I made enough money to buy Miami (I substitute with 'Mamou') but I pissed it away so fast, never meant to last, never meant to last. I have been drunk now for over 2 weeks, I passed out and I rallied and I sprung a few leaks, but I got to stop wishin', got to go fishin', I'm down to rock bottom again. Just a few friends, just a few friends.
If I was absolutely forced to choose, I'd say my favorite band of all-time is Zeppelin. Their 1st song on their 1st album had lyrics something like: In the days of my youth, I was told what it means to be a man. Now I've reached that age I try to do all those things, the best I can. No matter how I try, I find my way into the same old jam. Note: I'm 30 so there's a lot of music from my generation that I like (including rap) but my favorite era has to be from about 1966-70. For example, I love the Beatles but not much of their stuff pre-1966. There's nothing better than Zeppelin but their later stuff isn't the same. During the late '60s, there were countless groups around that produced a sound that hasn't been duplicated (in my opinion). Also note that I by no means consider myself a music guru.
Best alliteration ever: "Little old lady got mutilated late last night" Warren Zevon - Werewolves of London
Kanye West - Stronger "so we gon' do everything that kan like heard they'd do anything for a klondike well i'd do anything for a blonde-dike"
I can't believe I'm the first to post this? Anyway, I think it's a pretty good song. Sure do like hearing it. Hey, Fighting Tigers, fight all the way. Hey, Fighting Tigers, win that game today. You've got the know-how, you're doing fine. Hang on to the ball as you hit the wall and crash right through the line. You've got to go for the touchdown, run up the score; Make Mike the Tiger stand right up and roar. So give it all of your might as you fight tonight, and keep the goal in view: Victory for LSU! "Fight for LSU"
