I could go for some Oyster Rockerfeller and Oyster Beinville right about now. Some of the best oysters in town are at Mansur's as well.
The people I know who eat them raw have told me that. All the people I've ever seen eat them as well.
I like to chew on 'em a little bit first. Gets all that good briney flavor out, which is what mixes so well with the Tabasco, horseradish, ketchup, and/or worcestershire.
i cant get down with oysters either. and its like a christmas ritual around my whole family. and some of you are getting a little fancy with your seafood. boiled crawfish, crabs, shrimp perch fried whole fried bass and catfish when i lived at home before moving for school, i had about 50 crawfish traps. me and my buddies would run them every couple days. we would eat crawfish any way you could think of every 3-4 days. it was great. Boiled crawfish at least once a week. or i guess we could get schmancy: snapper topped with lump crabmeat and shrimp stuffing, baked in parchment paper and finished with a light garlic beurre blanc ^^best thing there :thumb: www.louisianalagniapperestaurant.com/favorites
How can you get what a raw oyster is all about ifn ya don't CHEW IT????? That's why I like them big guff meaty ershters straight on the half shell freshly shucked... PS If somebody DOESN'T chew a raw oyster then IMO they're not getting their money's worth.
Shrimp Fried Bass Fried White Perch Fried or Grilled Catfish I also love Bass and White Perch grilled
