vs UF mid-eighties Hillard's freshmen year. LSU fans took over all the bars and restaurants across the street from the stadium.
2002 UK game was my favorite. Being able to storm another team's field was great. I have a framed piece of "Blue Grass" from the end zone on my office wall. The absolute worse is any game against MSU. What a horrible game day atmosphere. The highlight of my trip was Shoney's.
1. 1982 vs Alabama at Legion Field. The Bear walked right under me coming on to the field. 2. Bluegrass Miracle game at Kentucky. 3. Sugar Bowl vs Illinois.
For me, 'The Bluegrass Miracle' will be hard to top. I still, and will probably always, get excited when telling people about the last few minutes of the game. The LSU fans went absolutely nuts.
2001 Kentucky Davey to Clayton touchdown to win in the last few seconds. Without that win, we probably give up & have a losing season. As it turns out, that win was a catalyst for an SEC championship. My opinion. 2nd place 2001 Tennessee - very large crowd ~106,000
1977 Ole Miss I had been to many LSU road games prior, but this was my first one as an "adult." I was 18 years old, had a hot date, and we had a grand time! It helped that LSU, behind Steve Ensminger, came back from a 21 point deficit to win 28 - 21! :geaux:
The SECCG game was unreal. First row at last year's KY game also was fantastic. Seeing the barn burn down at AU and beating them was great but....... 1982 bama victory is tops. waited 3 hours with my buds to get on the goal posts after the game even if only for a few minutes before every state cop came running at us. didnt break it but it was sure leaning. asked to leave 4 bars, 2 gas stations, a burger king and escorted off the interstate due to being too "festive" in the long line waiting to get off the exit.
