Do Bowl Games Count as road games?

    I have a Tie:

Can I count Georgia Tech in Atlanta the Peach Bowl as a road game? A mighty fine time was had by all.

Beating Illinois 01 in our backyard (NO) for the Sugar Bowl was lovely as well, my name was drawn from the lottery of people to get a tickets so I was especially grateful. A great way to start the new year, beating Illinois driving back after the win it was snowing we built LSU snowmen in our yard.

    Worst Road Game
Losing to the prisonbacks with family in Fayetteville, thanksgiving in the freezing rain 3 or so years ago.

The 1996 Auburn game. The funny thing that was overlooked because of oblivious reasons was durring the opening cheer the announcer misspelled Auburn. It was Give me an A.... Give me a B i mean U....

96 was nice for me I made it to every game.

    Auburn the House burned down

Flordia we drove from BR drank all night long, got two hours of sleep went to the game and we got our butts kicked so bad that we drove back to Baton Rouge with out any sleep.

Old Miss the gove aint nothing

Ark Wet and cold. So wet and cold that they me and my buddy both in Purple and Gold free hot chocolate.

Peach Bowl well it was just Peachy.

Re: Do Bowl Games Count as road games?

When I saww that it was snowing and heard something about the Interstate maybe being closed I didn't want to try to drive back the Baton Rouge after the game. I couldn't find a hotel room so we spent the night bar hopping in the French Quarter.
By daylight nobody was in any condition to drive so we passed out in my friends Suburban until noon and then had lunch at some little Italian restaurant on Williams Blvd. I think it was called Messina's and I had barbecued oysters that were fantastic.
In the bar they have a lot of old black and white sports pictures on the wall including a picture of the young Rocky Marciano with blood streaming down his face. I tried to buy it but they wouldn't sell it.

Not football but the 96 trip to Omaha was awesome watching Warren Morris smack the winning dinger with two out in the botton of the 9th. I had to beat the crap out of three old ladies, two kids and a guy in a wheelchair to get the home run ball but it was worth it. Not really, I watched it here in Baton Rouge on TV but that was one of the alltime great moments in the history of LSU sports.

1982. LSU beat Alabama on the road, 20 to 10 and it wasn't that close. The defensive line of Leonard Marshall, Ramsey Dardar, and Bill Elko dominated the game. Alabama had no first downs in the first half. I've never heard Bama fans so quiet.

After the game, the Houndstooth Hatted One stated to the press that it was a major butt whipping and maybe it was time for a coaching change at Alabama. He retired from coaching at the end of that season.

I was with TigerStagg in the Bama student section in '97 and that would probably have to be my choice. It made up for the 10-3 loss two years before in Tuscaloosa for my first ever road game as a student. Faulk had a couple of nice TD runs and one of the O-line guys (McClure?) pointed at us after running the 60+ yards alongside Faulk for the last TD.

When the game started, we were about 6 rows from the field and I was amazed that the players could hear my voice (by itself) when Bama was backed up on their own 2 yardline early in the game. I don't think that could happen in Tiger Stadium. I guess we must have been yelling some stuff about Freddie Kitchens because one of his "alleged" relatives moved away from us and took it personally. I vaguely remember saying something about Booger and Chuck Wiley were going to meet up at the "big gut (Kitchens)" for a slam dunk and 2 pts (safety). By the time the 4th qtr arrived, we were in row #1 and had merged with the other Tiger fans in the Bama student section to complete the takeover.
