    16 Candles...another favorite...girl movie, of course!
My fav. part was the wedding of the older sister to the idiot..when she had cramps and they gave her too many muscle relaxers and she could hardly function...swatting her veil...I still crack up

My parents were always into having me watch old movies when I was a kid. Some of my favorites (since I can NEVER choose ONE favorite in anything):

    Gone with the Wind
The Best Years of Our Lives
    The Grapes of Wrath

My dad also was a HUGE John Wayne fan. My favorite John Wayne movies:

    The Searchers
    Red River
    Big Jake
    Donovan's Reef

When I was growing up, it was Grease all the way.

80's movies (when I was in high school):

    The Breakfast Club
    Sixteen Candles
    Ferris Bueller's Day Off
    The Karate Kid
    Back to the Future

    Smokey and the Bandit

My old man was never big on me watching movies with language, but didn't bat an eye when I watched this one. I suppose since I was a youngin, he knew I didn't know what was really going on. Which is why he let me watch Stripes until I was old enough to know what was going on.

Others would include Rocky and Star Wars.

I was into historical epics when I was a kid.

Spartacus, Khartoum, Lawrence of Arabia, The Ten Commandments, How The West Was Won, The Robe, Ben-Hur, The Fall of The Roman Empire, Quo Vadis, El Cid, Bridge over the River Kwai . . .

I'm talkin' Technicolor, 70mm film, Cinerama and on the big widescreens the old theaters used to have.

The best comedy of all-time: Smokey and the Bandit.

Also Scarface, The Godfather(s), Jaws, Superman, and Rocky(s).
