Christmas story is my favorite. I love how TBS plays it over and over for 24 hours before Christmas. A distant second would be National Lampoons Christmas Vacation. It's good but no where near the same league. I really liked the Charlie Browns Christmas when I was young but I haven't seen it in years.
"Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer" "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas" (cartoon, only!) "It's a Wonderful Life" "Miracle on 34th Street" (the Natalie Wood/Maureen O'Hara b & w version) "Christmas Vacation"
I'll be honest, I don't like a whole lot of Christmas movies... I always associated this time of year with other movie marathons that were put on like they do with Lord of the Rings now. When I was a kind USA did a Star Wars marathon. But if I had to choose, Bad Santa... Gotta love a cute chick with a fetish for guys dressed up as Santa... or maybe not
Holiday Inn starring Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire where the song White Christmas was introduced. You may remember Bing as the founding member of Crosby, Stills & Nash. Closest thing we'll get to a White Christmas is what happened last week.
Corey cant stand it either! Proably because when the marathon starts you will be hard pressed to see the tv on something other than that movie! Next year I plan on getting my dad the Leg Lamp for Christmas..there is a site that will ship it to the house in a huge crate along with the Western Union!
A movie that was cute that the kids and we loved too last year was Unaccompained Minors..really good movie and Fred Claus was GREAT!!!!! Ernest Saves Christmas (one of my personal favs) Harmony Star: There's no such thing! Think about it: a guy who flies around the whole world in one night. It just doesn't quite correspond to the laws of time and travel. Ernest P. Worell: Now, now, now, now, now, it's possible. You take the International Date Line, multiply it by the Time Zones, divided by the accelerated rotation of the earth... uh, carry the 1, and, uh, allowing for the Vernal Equinox on the Tropic of Cancer, he might just pull it off. Gremlins All the Gremlins in the theater singing: Hi Ho Kate: What're they doing? Billy Peltzer: They're watching Snow White. And they love it.
FYI, if any of you are looking to get National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, it's $7 at Circuit City this week, along with a few other Christmas movies.
