Been doing KFC lately. It seems, at least in Lafayette, that the quality of Popeye's is restaurant dependent.

Zaxby's is the exact same as Cane's, and it is every bit as gross.

The best chicken ever comes from Chester's Cypress Inn in Donner Louisiana.

There are a couple Popeyes here in Charleston, but none like the all you can eat buffet on pinhook in lafy. That one was the best bang for your buck at lunch time.

I never heard of Zaxby's until i moved here...the chicken tastes like Canes...but no special sauce.

Like MemphisTiger mentioned, Caines not the same without some Bourbon...

Like all of them except for Churchs

Lately my girlfriend has been dragging me to Plucker's on a weekly basis and they are really good. Their tenders are great, and their wings are excellent.

Although Cane's can't be beat when the Cane's challenge has been met. I mean, a Box for THREE DOLLARS? Sweeeeeet....

Cane's is definately at the top of the list when bourbon is in the mix.
I would have to say Chick-fil-a otherwise.

Popeyes. But locally in MS, I'd have to say Abners is the best, even though a guy from :eek:lefire: is the owner.:cuss:

LSUAlum, me and my friend D went to the Miami-Florida State game, and we went to Hip Hop before the game. It was so damn good. We were looking for a chicken shack before the game, and we found Hip Hop. We brought our beer up in there, and they didn't care.

My write in for best chicken- Linda's Fried Chicken in Watson, LA (little town by Denham Springs)
