That doesn't explain the long waits at In-n-Out. I know y'all don't have them in the South but GDF knows. Great burgers, very simple and small menu, but the lines and wait are insane. That list doesn't have Krispy Kreme or Del Taco and both are very fast. Still, sometimes I think it depends on the franchise owner and how they run/staff their location.
Fried okra is very good if it's made right. Most places have wsy too much breading but Churches Fried Chicken makes theirs the way I make it. Slice the okra crossways and put the pieces in a milk bath, then coat with seasoned flour and fry. I don't know if there are any Churches in SoCal or Oregon but it's worth trying if you do. It's my favorite side order over any other at any fsst food franchise.
None in Orange County. Most Socal locations are in Riverside/San Berdoo (messicans), and Long Beach/Compton/Lynwood (black folks). Once upon a time, I had a step-monster who was from Tennessee. She made black-eyed peas, chitlins, okra, greens, etc. I learned to really dislike it all back then.
If bk was managed by the Chikfila Mormons you'd have something. Yeah those original chicken sandwiches are on point. Now I want one. A whopper wouldn't be bad either.
Reading this thread made me want a whopper but since I have to go to Seigan Lane I'll get a What-A-Burger.
that darn Shane, now I'm off to BK, haven't had an original chicken sandwich in a long time,.. and of course,.. double whopper, extra cheese, no pickle.
