the same would likely be said about Frank Broyles ..... :thumb:
  2. Re: Fans to involved in a program? Half page ad in today's Ark Democrat-Gazette

I guess it's a match made in hog heaven.

Did I say that out loud just now?
  3. Re: Fans to involved in a program? Half page ad in today's Ark Democrat-Gazette

You would think any hog fan would be happy with a Nutt & a Dick....
  4. Re: Fans to involved in a program? Half page ad in today's Ark Democrat-Gazette

The thing about it is....We as Hog fans know this ad looks funny and maybe even foolish to outsiders. We know that Nutt is considered a good coach outside Arkansas. The funny thing is though, when we offer to trade coaches, the answer is invariably "No". I consider Nutt the 10th best coach in the SEC, or thereabouts. Would you be happy?

I'm sure you guys are very content to win an exciting game every year against us. I don't blame you, but some of us up here actually want to start, you know, winning some of those games. Won't happen with our current administration. This ad campaign is an act of a desperate fan base. If this program has to be burned to the ground, and then rebuilt, then so be it.
  5. Re: Fans to involved in a program? Half page ad in today's Ark Democrat-Gazette

What most people find funny is that Nutt actually had a recipe for winning with Mcfadden and Jones in the backfield, then parents and players started crying about winning because their needs weren't being satisfied. I personally grew a whole new respect for Nutt this season when he had the Nutts to run the wildcat offense. It wans't him that blew it up.
  6. Re: Fans to involved in a program? Half page ad in today's Ark Democrat-Gazette

The misconception (which has been allowed to spread by the administration) is that this parent's meeting was about playing time or touches. It was not. The parents have said that the meeting was about academics, curfew, and the general direction of the program. This was confirmed by Broyles.

Mustain's transfer was caused by several factors, but PT is not one of them. He would have perfectly content to redshirt this year and play behind Dick next. A major factor was a series of harrassing emails sent to him from a close Nutt family friend, then forwarded along to several people by Nutt's wife (who had been cc'd the nasty emails) with the heading "You'll find this funny".

Mitch knows he'll never get a fair shake with Nutt as head coach.
  7. Re: Fans to involved in a program? Half page ad in today's Ark Democrat-Gazette

If all of that is true then what is the problem. Smack Mustain on the ass and wish him luck because Arkansas has the frontrunner for Heisman next season. You guys better hope Nutt doesn't go conservative because the only way the hogs win next year is by running the wildcat about 85-90% of the time. It keeps SEC defenses off balance. Maybe Nutt learned his lesson on that 4th down play against LSU. Better get Mcfadden some reps under center.

Sounds like a real soap opera up their.

Couldn't have said it better myseelf!
  10. Re: Fans to involved in a program? Half page ad in today's Ark Democrat-Gazette

The problem, IMO, is the Wildcat package was used more and more as the year wore on, to less and less success. SEC Def. Coordinators are a pretty sharp bunch, and learned how to counter it pretty effectively towards the end. Mark it, the Wildcat will be stuffed more times than not next year.

My prediction: You guys will not even have to play against McFadden next season. Nutt will ride him until he gets hurt.
