O Oh I agree but this seems different right now. It also seems like an accumulation of things turning fans away. I have no idea what will happen in the long run. I know I have been watching less and less NFL over the last few years. This has only reduced my interest and time spent watching. However if the viewing, game attendance and merchandise sales decline 5%, 10%or 20% it will make a huge impact on revenue. It will be interesting to see the reaction v
Saints say they plan to kneel as a group Sunday before the anthem, then stand as a group when the anthem begins.
Does anyone else here get to do this kind of shit at THEIR job? Imagine a board room meeting and an employee comes in and expresses their political views that they know to be against company policy and angers the company's customers. Anyone here do that and either a) expect to keep their job, or b) cash a million dollar paycheck?
Is there a point to the question? The owners decide their own policy, and they decide when their policies can be amended or violated or opposed. I applaud the owners for supporting kneeling protesters who were obviously NOT disrespecting our soldiers nor our democracy.
You don't know WTF you're talking about. NFL owners didn't fire Joe Kennedy, so what "hypocrisy" are you talking about? Also, Joe Kennedy was fired for defiantly violating the Constitution on a regular basis, the kneeling NFL players are not.
Thats not for you to decide. You might not be offended, but others "are". Just like this offends you:
Actually since you are supposed to stand without a hat and hand over heart for the National Anthem, it is disrespectful to do otherwise https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/36/301
