The Obamacare bill had been public for months, open to debate on both floors of Congress, and passed through the normal channels of congressional passage. There had been no hurry on it at all, and Pelosi's quote taken in context simply meant that it had to be passed in order for American citizens to understand how good it would be for them. In a nutshell, you lie.
That's hilarious. McCain has exactly the voting power of 51 other Republican Senators. Do you also find it "deplorable" that Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski, and Rand Paul opposed this Republican monstrosity? Want to know what's TRULY deplorable? That John McCain shouldn't participate in the Senate as he was elected to do... because he's dying. Compassion and sense.... two things foreign to Republicans.
So @Kikicaca youre saying the republicans can ignore doing the right thing because the democrats did it first???? Boy that will really get us in the right place. As to lying to his constituents be careful of what you say. Just because he wanted to repeal and replace Obamacare doesn't me he thinks this bill has enough merit to vote for. I'm sorry I used to think Rush was the most brilliant political commentator ever.....and he was. He spoke of conservative principles and how to use them to form an opinion on a subject. Then he became so popular I think it went to his head and now he just takes positions to inflame and hold a partisan audience. Likewise Fox and MSNBC do the same for their respective audiences. None are worth paying attention to. BTW I've still not heard any justification of how Trump and his audience have booed and treated McCain. My guess is that in your hearts you know I'm right. You're too ashamed to be tied to it so you deflect.
No there was no dialogue with the republicans after the first meeting. In that meeting Obama said I won you lost so we'll do it my way. Hard to expect anyone to cooperate when treated like that. It was a 100% democrat bill rammed through on partisan line. BTW Nancy Pelosi DID tell her people to vote for it then read what's in it.
I don't need a welcome, thanks. I recognize it happens, I don't like it, so I said it. That doesn't make it the right thing to do. And his particular diagnosis makes my point even more relevant as had already been showing signs of dysfunction from the blastoma during Congressional hearings. They used a diamond drill bur to put holes in his skull and then operated on his brain. His prognosis is poor and the weight of that is more than enough to suggest that he no longer belongs in a position to impact the country to such a large extent. He can believe it until the cows come home but that doesn't make him a good candidate to continue the job. He's been in public office for 30 years. Enough is enough. He's part of the problem back there along with McConnell, Pelosi and a host of others who govern with power plays instead of the public interest. He represented himself one way to get elected but has acted and legislated in quite another way. His military service notwithstanding, I'm done with him and I don't believe he gets a Congressional golden ticket simply because he's on death's door. My comments had nothing to do with Trump.
Dont know how you missed it the first time but I will repeat it one more time. McCain derserves what he gets he has turned his back on his party and conservatives and mostly the people in Arizona. You are so middle of the road its a bit boring you seem to not think there is a right or wrong. McCainmis a turd in the punch bowl. He hangs with the likes of Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski and Lindsay Graham all spineless rhino's who keep the liberals in power.
Winston you seem like a really nice guy but you are a fool. The McCain's of the world are the reason we are in the position we are today. Obamacare, over taxed, over regulated and illegals crossing the border at will.
Even standing and locking arms is not acceptable during the national anthem. It nauseates me. There should be no personal statements whatsoever during the anthem. Put their hand on their heart and respectfully stand at attention. They can go show their ass on their own time. I'll start watching football again when all the players follow the respectful protocol. During rendition of the national anthem when the flag is displayed, all present except those in uniform should stand at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart. Men not in uniform should remove their headdress with their right hand and hold it at the left shoulder, the hand being over the heart.Aug 12, 2016
That should be the thing every player, coach, owner, ad exec and broadcaster should fear. Pissing off the people who provide the money to get all of them rich is a losing proposition. The NFL and associates has been getting more and more out of step with its audience. If they lose them it will hit all of their pockets in a big way. We'll see and I'm not ready to predict it but there is a large segment of the audience getting turned off. It matters not if you agree with them or what you think of them; they're the ones paying the bill. It will be interesting.
