Watched a lot of pro ball this weekend and fans at every game booed loudly at these cowardly overpaid ungrateful spoiled athletes. I am sick of this crap and will only watch the Saints and Texans will skip the rest. One of these ungrateful clowns stated at halftime that it took "courage" to do what they did. Courage? No it takes courage to defend this country so ungrateful overpaid idiots like them have the right to disrespect the country who give them the freedom to make millions. The fans are turning on this disgusting display, count me in as one of them. Will never go to another NFL game again.

Read an opinion column last night...the guy suggested the way for the fans to have a say that will make an impact is to show up for the game and then, after the anthem protests, get up an walk out 'en masse before kickoff. Obviously no one's going to empty a stadium, but if thousands do that at every stadium, it will be a protest that the cameras will have show. It creates a visual impact that you won't get from a boycott.

Many fans were booing the players as they kneeled silently for the anthem. In other words, they booed during the anthem.

    Lots to unpack there.

Not likely, but I'll bet attendance takes a hit. In New Orleans, they're saying several official corporate sponsors have already told the Saints they're pulling sponsorships, and a legislator in the Baton Rouge area says the team's state subsidies should be revoked. (Also not going to happen).

The Orange Buffoon picked this fight with the NFL out of revenge because the NFL didn't want his sorry ass as an owner and then humiliated him in court in the USFL case.

Forgot to mention in my New Orleans fallout post that one of the Mardi Gras krewes that invited a couple of players to ride next year have withdrawn the invite.

Nola.com's Tim Morris says the best selling NFL jersey in the aftermath of Sunday's games was.....Steeler tackle and Afghanistan vet Alejandro Villenueve, the only Steeler who came out of the locker room for the anthem Sunday. Don't know if he's correct.

Well, there you go.... a couple of Mardi Gras krewes and Alejandro Villenueve decided that calling a peaceful protester a "son of a bitch" is A-OK in their version of America. I say they don't know what America is supposed to be, or what that flag is supposed to represent.
