dont worry, everyone always gets defensive when i catch them lying. it happens here all the time. you said: "I saw Bush, himself, declare that he invaded Afghanistan and Iraq because God instructed him to do so." but at least you admitted: "I did not personally witness Bush saying it" that is what i call lying. if you misrepresent what bush says, it makes it easy to be critical of him. your whole point with this post was to call out bush for his religious motivations. but the foundation of your argument was a lie. to review, i caught another person lying.
Yes, we have had 43 consecutive Christian president (yet Christians still claim that they are being oppressed). But that does not mean that they are allowed to govern out of faith. This is not a theocracy. Wait, so motive is not important? I can't even begin to explain how much I disagree with that statement. Let's say, for a second, that the Iraq invasion was, in fact, nothing more than a personal vendetta, or strictly for the pursuit of oil. So then, those reasons would not be important to wasting hundreds of billions of dollars and an untold number of lives? Come on, I don't think you really believe that, martin. The reason is every bit as imporant as the decision itself. If not, then people should not feel compelled to defend Bush or the invasion. I don't know if you're talking to me or not. But if you are, that's why I italicized 'heard'. I've seen him say things of this nature on the boob tube, not in articles.
To review, you never caught me lying (b/c I know you're just trying to take another shot at me), and have evidently still not looked up the definition of that word as I instructed you to do.
You don't know what a lie is. A lie has to be a deliberate misrepresentation. If I had actually intended to portray that I had personally witnessed Bush saying those things I wouldn't have corrected myself so quickly. To review, just your predictable desperate diversion.
God does not speak to George Bush. God speaks only to Pat Robinson, who tells Bush about it. "On the January 3 edition of Christian Broadcasting Network's The 700 Club, Reverend Pat Robertson, host and Christian Coalition of America founder, made predictions for the New Year based on what he said God told him during a recent prayer retreat. Robertson said that God told him: "I will remove judges from the Supreme Court quickly, and their successors will refuse to sanction the attacks on religious faith." Robertson also said that he "heard it from the Lord" that President Bush will have Social Security and tax reform passed and that Muslims will turn to Jesus Christ." MediaMatters.org
Contained Chaos, the role martin has assumed for himself here is to take potshots at other posters, and then to try to portray those as something trenchant. One can hardly be expected to make mistakes if he never offers anything original in the first place.
haha, you corrected yourself? after i called you out of course you had to! "I saw Bush, himself, declare that he invaded Afghanistan and Iraq because God instructed him to do so." and that is 100% a lie. you saw no such thing. are you claiming that you said that accidentally? you cant remember what you saw? hahaha.
He doesn't understand that concept. I've tried to explain it to him before. If he has ever gotten a ballgame score wrong, or said the wrong player hit a home run, then by his own definition, he is a liar. By that same definition, every other person on the planet is also a liar (except W lol).
robertson, not robinson. bush cant really be held responsible for what this madman is doing. and hasnt this guy been tight with every president? man, i dont like that guy.
haha, the two most recent victims of my lie detecting are getting together. hey fellas, just be honest and i wont hurt your feelings anymore.
