Better yet, so no one can use the money argument, have the new coach sign a contract stating he wont get paid until he wins 10 games!
Wow, I love it when someone sees a clear need and fills it, a new thread bashing Miles. I am fairly certain every thread in the Den has regressed to that subject line regardless. We are 1-0 and looked a little rusty on the first game with a ton of first timers playing. I truly believe if that other guy were not coaching Bama and was still in the NFL, people would not be calling for the coaches (The one that one a NC game, a BCS game, only lost one Bowl game on a BS field, recruits as well as anyone in the country, best record in school history over his tenure, etc..) head so quickly and be a little more patient. That is what makes the whole thing an emotional reaction instead of a rational decision. Example: It's like the guy that keeps running into his ex girlfriend at the bar, and she and her new boyfriend are so happy together and seem like they have a perfect relationship (He has not figured out she is a cheating whore yet) and it just eats the guy up inside, and as he drinks it just makes him madder and madder until he cant stand it and starts a fight (or gets liquored up and post to fire the coach on TF). I am not saying this thread said to fire the coach.....but you can certainly see the emotional gut wrenching that goes on for some of the Mile's bashers, and that it certainly could be different if it were not for the certain guy coaching Bama. So....."If you can't be with the one you love, love the one your with." And just let it go.
People can bash Miles all they want but pleeeeeeease: (1) do it in one thread, there is no need to start a new thread each and every day/hour/minute/second; and (2) come up with some new arguments, if you read enough around here you'll see that just about every criticisim of him has been leveled at some point. Carry on... Please note that the above applies as well to threads on other topics that are quickly highjacked into "Miles sure sux...." thread. Carry on, again...
It's irrational for YOU to bring only the GOOD aspects of Saban into the equation. Mental gymnastics. Open. Your. Eyes. In one game? :rolleye33: Now this is the epitome of MENTAL GYMNASTICS. You do realize he had his opportunity to show his contribution last season against LA Tech, right? 7-20something? Puhleeze. You figure this out during the spring game? Yeah, Randle and Shep didn't do anything in the first game of the season. You have this all figured out after the opener? Wow. Impressive. Yeah, probably December of 2004. Yeah, he's really been slipping in recruiting...considering his last two classes were his best, and EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THE RECRUITS QUALIFIED. Name another SEC program that can say that.
Between 1961 to 1966, Alabama went 60-5-1, which included three national championships, four Southeastern Conference Championships, two undefeated seasons, and six bowl berths. True Better than LSU during our current 5 year run; however, we could/likely end up with 60 wins in 6 years. Quess What Bear Bryants' record was over the next 4 years.... 28-15-2 I'm sure most BAMA fans are pleased the powers that be understood that even the BEAR could suffer through down years -- in what some would say was a less competitive time.
what if the bear had saban's players? man i bet any bama fan that reads that is having to change their pants or wipe their screen off...
