I wouldn't really call them a true option team in the sense we were talking about. They got most of their yards passing the ball against us anyways. Truthfully I am just as confused as you are. In other threads, I said we needed this game for Lee to get his confidence back. My hope is that other opponents watched this game and are starting to game plan around JJ as a passer, so like I said earlier, this will open up running lanes for him in the future. I'm thinking Les knows what he has in Lee and will go from there. It's Les Miles - it could be anything :milesmic: I trust him either way.
We have no idea if Lee sucked under GC... he didn't get any significant playing time after 2008 when he had to play before he was ready. You just refuse to give Lee any credit, just look at last year, Jefferson was terrible and Lee saved our ass time after time. Look, both QBs are below average. Is there any argument about that? I just have not seen any evidence that JJ is more qualified to start. That's all I'm saying. You are acting as if JJ should be the unquestioned starter.
Miles will start the QB that gives us the best chance of winning. I guess he sees the running QB threat option so integral to this offense that it outweighs the added passing threat of JL. And if JJ's passing comes on, look out. But, damn, JL looked so great...
Lee was punished tonight due to missing classes this past week. That came from Hanigriff in the post game show tonight.
All of this bickering will die next season when we have a real passing threat at QB, as of now both are mediocre at best... wtf is the problem here?
Next year I'm sure there will be folks arguing for *insert 2nd/3rd string qb name* to start as soon as Mett makes a mistake.
