I think people are just pissed bc the guy that took us to 8-0 is suddenly on the bench after a shaky outing against the best D in the country. It just seems really disruptive to switch QBs at this point in the season.

That said, JJ looked pretty good throwing the ball tonight. He has improved significantly since last year. However, he cannot sell the fake on the play action, which has been our bread and butter pass play all year. It also seems like we kind of go away from power football when he's taking snaps. That is who we are. We cannot afford to get away from that now. Lee's drives also seem to eat way more clock than JJ's.

Good God, have you ever seen the option before? Jefferson is the worst option QB I have ever seen! It works at times, but man is it ugly. He has no feel for when to pitch and almost never makes the first defender commit to him first.

Dude, you sound like a moron on this one.

Sorry, nobody will agree with you on this one.

He ran it vs Bama to the tune of 210 yards of offense from the 4 minute mark of the 2nd quarter on vs Bama. And that's with Jarrett Lee getting in and wasting a possession on that interception.

Yes it made lots of yards on good runs, but if you think JJ looks good running the option you are either very young and have seen very little option or you are totally clueless. I've seen many many many teams run the option, many of them run it good. JJ has no phucking clue! The option works in spite of him, not because of him. To anyone that has ever seen the option run it should be crystal clear.

Wow, would like to hear if ANYONE agrees with that assessment.

I could care less if anyone agrees with it or not. I don't need anyone to tell me what I can see with my own eyes.

I have no comment. I'll be glad when we don't have to have these discussions anymore. Totally reminds me of the Aaron Brooks v. Jake Delhomme discussions. Hated those.

Sorry Issy. JJ's option play is anything but "perfect". It is effective at times but we've had plenty of 3 and outs with JJ in at QB because the option wasn't executed well.

LSU is a Pro style team that when Miles gets conservative and puts JJ in forces the team into playing option. Sometimes it works, most of the time it's average.

Even though I disagree with you about JJ running the option perfectly, I certainly don't believe that statement. Lee could not run the option. . .

There is more to the option than JJ.

B/c of this, many of you will never give him credit...
