Yep . kinda like it was in the first 4 games of the season, against Oregon, MSU, and WVU. The coaches didn't have the option to yank him. RW called it way back then .... Lee didn't have the moxy in the last 4.25 games he played that he had in the first 4.
But JJ is a better QB than Lee ... that's what they keep telling me. Trust the Coach Lasalle ... trust the coach. Lee probably would have handed the ball of to one of the defenders for a TD. Instead of a pick 6, it'd a been a give-a-6.
I do trust Miles, I learned a long time ago that while I may disagree with some of the things he does, that ultimately the dude wins games. I wish we could just merge the 2 into 1 really good quarterback.
Jj checking out of a play isn't very common. If jj would be smart enough to actually check out of a play, which the effort would result in a probable delay penality, it would most likely be a qb keeper.
Are you implying that JJ is not smart??? You racists basta*d. ... you just hate JJ.:hihi: Lasalle ... CLM did merge the two .. he proved it last weekend. JJ can now pass ... so there's no need for Lee to even be on the field.
This. Even with Lee in the game I've seen plays when both safeties are almost up on the line of scrimmage and he wouldn't check out of a called run up the middle.
Yes, both can execute drawn up plays i.e The deep pass to Randle. But neither can do what it takes to become a great QB. Change the play at the line, read the D, audible out, step up and stay in the pocket, go through their progressions, utilize their check down, deliver a consistently accurate ball...etc. Dont expect it from either of the 2, I quit a long time ago. You just have to hope that the play called and drawn up works. Or our running game is on point.
No matter WHAT the play call WAS, a Sr. QB--especially one with as much starting experience as JJ SHOULD know better than to just sit back there like a statue.
