He just really hates JJ, doesn't care about the greater good of the team, just doesn't want JJ back there. He is quick to bring up JJ's past and bad games, but doesn't want to discuss Lee's past and bad games. We are not 10-0 without JJ I don't see what makes Lee so much better either. Neither are great, we are STILL 10-0 And, I am not claiming JJ is light years above Lee either.
