The media isn't regularly telling everyone that Romney, McCain, or even Huckabee shouldn't be taken seriously. But anyway, the point was that these online votes and polls aren't necessarily spammed. There are enough supporters of Paul to skew those polls because his supporters are more excited and involved than that of other candidates. Paul may never be taken seriously, but he was way in front of the curve in regards to Iraq and this economic downturn we are currently facing. Romney is so full of crap it isn't funny. McCain makes disrespectful comments about Muslims and doesn't seem to have a clue about our economic situation. Pork barrel cuts will pay for our interventionist foreign policy and cut away at the debt? Huckabee doesn't mind exploiting his religion and says some pretty odd things - not to mention he doesn't seem to have a strong platform. I don't trust Clinton and she and Obama want to solve our problems with big government. I'm not ashamed to say Obama is my number 2 choice at this point because at least he seems to genuinely want to have a more responsible foreign policy.
When Paul steps down, do his votes go to Romney or Mccain??? I think they go to Mccain and since he's still ahead, Ron Paul's candidacy is not relevant cause he's just not having any impact on the race whatsoever.
Paul is not stepping down. Heck in Maine he came what 2% points and 100 votes behind McCain. Paul is on the rise.
I guess you would laugh at RP coming in second in LOUISIANA also in the caucus? Oh and forget about Nevada. None of these states matter right...
There have been 8 primaries and in only 3 of them he has been able to get at least 10% of the vote and he has 0 delegates. I'd say that after tomorrow he needs to step down along with Huckabee.
He actually has 6 delegates and the grassroots is working hard behind the scenes at snatching up delegates - each state is different and most don't have straight forward procedures - as such the media doesn't really get into that. Ron Paul has a few surprises up his sleeve still. Isn't it odd that he has 3x the financial support of any other Republican from Veterans and active military and more support than all of the other candidates combined. I still believe Paul has a chance, and regardless, he is setting the stage for a revolution of ideas. I think this movement will be remembered historically.
I think he'll be all but forgotten in about two weeks, except by the truthers who will say there was a media conspiracy against him.
