Ha! Have you been around Olevenicedog and Kajunsausage at all???? For people like those two, ANYTHING close or sloppy will result in them spamming the board with lists of potential head coaching replacements.... Personally, I'm like LSUGradin99.... I think 10-2 would be very respectible.
I also would be very pleased with a 10-2 season, with a relatively young team that would be great. I just am extremely pleased that we have a top tier program. I just remember the Hallman years where we would pray for 5 wins and a bowl game. This is a great time in LSU football. Geaux Tigers!:thumb:
I'm not sure why Tennessee should be better, but I can't imagine them worse, so I guess you have a point. Auburn will be good, but probably has the toughest schedule in the SEC West. Florida has the toughest schedule in the SEC East. I just don't see Meyer putting the Gator defense together well enough to win the East. Arkansas has the offensive talent, but poor coaching. South Carolina may just fight it out with Georgia for the East. This may just be a year where a 5-3 tie-breaker could win either division. The LSU-Florida game may end up being the pivotal game of the season for both divisions.
Anything 9 or better is a sucessful season next year. Relatively young inexperienced lines on both sides of the ball, a tough schedule (Fresno and Arizona are not pushovers plus SEC road), and no experienced kick or punt returner are just a few things that could be troublesome for next season. Not saying we can't overcome them, just that they are problems that exist and need to be addressed. By the way, did we get a new receivers coach?
True dat. 10-2 reg season is very reasonable. What you have to love about the schedule is the 2 home games, 1 away game way it's paced. There are no "killer" stretches of games, none at all. Even w/ the three tough roadies, if this team take 'em one at a time...could be special.:crystal:
                YOU "REALLY" ARE SERIOUS AREN'T YOU?           I can understand, "I hope for" or "I believe we can", but to really EXPECT that with either of the three qb's?:hihi: :hihi: :hihi: Especially a freshman who has never played in front of 100+k. But-----I guess you really are a homertiger. Good luck. Hope you're right.
You can't rise to low expectations!:thumb: And all I see is purple and gold BABY!!!!!:geauxtige  Oh, and by the way, ask our coach what he thinks our record will be!
I think the bowl game got us a little overamped. Prior to it alot of folks on this board were saying 8-4. With the youth on the lines, the tough road slate, and a beefed up non-conference schedule we may lose three games next year. For me any more than 3 losses would be a disappointment. Any more than 9 ins would be icing on the cake.
