Right. He USED to be a poster here. Unless he's resurfaced recently and I missed it, TE hasn't posted here in quite some time. I think Ramah ran him off. In regards to Giddens, he makes my 1st team All-Piece of Crap team; but I wouldn't tell that to him to his face. :grin:
Regardless of it's tangible negative effect upon recruiting, I am tired of seeing the words "LSU" & "arrested" collide in the same sentence. It seems there has been a rash of this type of behavior at universities across the country but I don't really care about anyone besides LSU. Miles seems to be handling this very well, but I am still tired of seeing our school in the news because of legal issues. I will be relieved when we weed these kids out.
Guys, after a teammate got booted from the team for battery in a bar fight recently, I can see Barksdale trying to avoid this fight. If he broke Giddings jaw, he might have been charged with battery and kicked off the team. In these circunstances, if Giddings assaulted him, he was right to just call the police. He'll play football for LSU and Giddings will be in parish prison.
With very few exceptions I think you are 100% correct. These are big boys who are playing smashmouth football and tempers can flare. They are not sitting in the locker room drinking tea. Skirmishes happen and most probably go unreported. This is an isolated incident and reasonable people will see that.
