i will be ok with the whole "rival" thing when Florida is replaced on our schedule with Vandy as our east rival.
Mississippi State's Dan Mullen on Alabama: 'They're just loaded with NFL talent from top to bottom' (LINK)
Big John you throw Stats and articles out there and when someone applies them to a particular point of view you disavow all knowledge and intent. Come on out and enjoy the conversation, around here you have at least a 50% chance of being right. I need bottom line: Most Talented Team this year: Alabama LSU Florida Miss. St.
I have to say Florida, Bama, LSU, Tennessee, Auburn, Georgia in that order as far as SEC goes this past season. I think UF was more talented at every position except receiver, which LSU was clearly the most talented team at that position.
Florida and a little gap Alabama and LSU -very close. Georgia- Why their coach is in trouble Auburn- Cupboard was never empty and look out folks. Ole Miss- Nutt blew it Tennessee- just lost too much.
Yes, Saban won even though Shula's recruits filled the top two classes. Your point? The top 2 classes of mostly 3 star players classes ranked #18 and #22 according to Scout.com. But that's fixing to change. Next year's junior class was ranked #1 and the class behind them was ranked #2. Bama will be more talented in 2010 than 2009 but they won't peak until 2011. That does not mean Bama will be unbeatable - they will just be very, very good. In 2010 Bama will have a talented but inexperienced defense next year playing a very difficult schedule with 7 teams scheduling open dates before their game with Bama. Bama should have a strong offense to help out the defense. I expect a loss or two during the season but by season's end, the 2010 team should be better than the 2009 team.
