I'm not sure Auburn is so down. They finished with a respectable bowl win this year and are pulling in a pretty fine recruiting class for '10. They will still have some depth problems, but they challenged Alabama even this past year. That may be a good thing for us. If either Alabama or Auburn are down, it makes the other stronger. I think in that scenario, the stronger team is tougher to beat than two weaker teams fighting each other.

Their '08 class was ranked #1 by every publication, and their '09 class finished second only to us, at worst, and #1 at best, depending on the service. I don't think our recruiting classes are giving them nightmares.

Bama wins it's first title in nearly 20 years and they sound like USC with their 3 peat already. If you win it all next year how many will that make, 5 in a row?:insane: Bama is a really good football team, but all this talk by gumps sounding like Bama has conquered the entire football world and has no challengers is laughable. Look for Bama to have its ups and downs just like every other really good program. I wouldn't make room for a second trophy just yet.

Their line of reasoning is that they think Miles is a Grade-B at best coach so they want Miles and co. to fail so that we fire Miles and get a new coach who they think is a Grade-A coach (like Michigan, ND, Miami, Tennessee, Auburn, Florida State, Nebraska, Texas A&M, Clemson, UCLA, Washington, Colorado, etc have all had such great success doing over the last decade). In their minds, this is being an LSU fan, this is what they think would be best for LSU. :geauxtige

I have bit my tongue long enough. LSU, Florida is on par with Bamas talent. AJ McCarron and Philip Sims havent proved a damn thing. Your QB this year was below average at best.Bama definitely benefited from having 2 great running backs, I dont deny their talent and your defense was the best in the country. However, you got tons of help from the Zebras this year and Bama should have lost 3 games if it wasnt for the help they got from the refs. If you are going to gloat do it with some truth and humility. I dont care if anyone else doesnt agree with me, but you are a joke and one that isnt funny anymore.

Yes you won a championship and that is something to be proud about. Saban is a great coach one of the best no doubt. But you are 2 years removed from losing to ULM. Also Saban is in fact winning with some of Shulas players

    the message: quit shoveling shyt.

Let me be more specific When I speak of the future it's not all about next year it's about what is coming as a program. Florida cannot do it every year neither will Bama.

AS far as NC's and how many, I go to "Bayareatiger for the lastest. I kindly suggest you do the same, you will see.

    So What?
Too little too late, I don't believe Florida can beat Bama the next 2 seasons.
I suspect Florida will be in the same position as us the last 2 seasons.
Meyer has repeatedly tried to quit coaching because Tebow is gone.
I suspect Meyer will look like an average coach next year.

I've often wondered why we always played Florida and Bama didn't in the regular season.

You could reasonable argue that Florida and LSU had more talent. That was one of my first points.I feel about these two QB's talent wise as I do about our RB's, LB's. Same is true for our incoming and 1st year D-Backs, a lot more talent than what you saw against Texas.

Next year is hard to figure as a team. I keep thinking about how fast Ohio St. reloaded their defense a few years ago. I don't know, this ain't the big 10.
