1. Honestly 3 teams, ASU, N.D and very possible UCLA. COULD BE a HUGE LETdown game as they look forward to that 3rd National Championship
  2. Unless we absolutely blow every opponent away on our remaining schedule, I just don't see us jumping UT.
  3. I just have a feeling that 'media darling' thing will start to work in our favor if it gets late in the year, and LSU is still undefeated making a run at the national title.

Secondly, we never even have to officially jump UT in either human poll, we just have to get close enough in votes to let the computer SOS take care of the rest. I fully believe we will be ahead of Texas in the computers by years end if we are both unbeaten at that point.
  4. Wishful thinking, my friend. Believe me, no one wants that to happen more than me. And I know their competition hasn't exactly been stiff, but does any team in the country have it together right now moreso than the fairies of troy?

  5. After watching that ND/MSU game Charlie has got those boys playing hard. AND As the season goes on I really see the Condoms getting FULL of themselves.

Put money on it USC will lose at least 1 game this season.
  6. And they had it together last season, but still nearly lost 3 or 4 game to unraned teams such as Stanford. I'm not saying they will definitely lose this year, but it wouldn't surprise me.
  7. No offense, but how do you justify this?

I can easily justify saying an undefeated LSU jumps an undefeated Texas by the end of Conference Championship weekend--LSU almost certainly faces a top 10 team in Atlanta (possibly/probably Georgia), and Texas almost certainly faces a 8-3 or 7-4 team (possibly/probably Iowa St.) in Houston.

Which winning team looks more impressive? Before you say teams don't get jumped that late in the season if they win, I suggest you call Jeff Tedford and ask him how it was playing Michigan in the Rose Bowl last season.
  8. See Auburn in 2004.
  9. My favorite from that board:

    What a moron.
  10. Remember in 2003 when people were saying that OU was one of the best college football teams of all time? A lot can happen, USC still has 9 games to play.

I would rather not have another BCS squeaker like we had last year with Cal.
