Sure it can be interpreted many ways, but aside from Mt 16, Peter is singularly given the three fold commission, he is always listed first anytime the Apostles are listed by name, he led the Council of Jerusalem, and made a ruling about Gentiles in James's church. He was clearly the leader of the Apostles.

Read the Nicean creed, or maybe you already know it, and tell me the church does not teach those things.

I certainly beleive them and they were taught to me by the Catholic Church.

Paul's epistles indict individual churches, and they are addressed to the audience to which they apply. They are not written as a broad treatisea on faith, morality, or salvation to the whole universal (kathlicos) Church. They were written to specific audiences and with a specific purpose. The epistles of John, Peter, and James are more general, and can better be applied to the whole Church.

The KJ is considered to be the most errant version of the Bible, not the most literate.

I don't see how baptizing babies shows a lack of faith. To me it shows dedication to raise children in the light until they are old enough to be sealed with the Holy Spirit in Confirmation. Baptizm is just the beginning.

I think here is more meaning to the use of circuncision. I think he is implying Batism should happen early.

Infant baptism does not add to scripture. The logic flows from the repeated tales of household baptisms.

The Church does not say unbaptised children are condemmend. In fact no dogma or doctrine has ever been developed are formally taught. Some theologians have surmised that there is a limbo for the unbaptised, but this idea has been definitively rejected by the Magestarium.

    Deep Thoughts, by USMTiger....

If an infant gets baptised in the forest, but there is nobody around to hear it, does it go to Heaven?

Did the hoochies dance to music, or did they just pretend?

I have two rapper friends. MC Odams and Ballzack. Ballzack was the best Arabian rapper ever. Pencil Crack Tornament was my favorite song by Ballzack. My Odams song was Lyrical Intercoarse. The best line was

"I'm one man with a millions fans
And I keep the beat on Tennessee
    So call me Nick Saban"

I used to rap too but I pretty much sucked.

Congratulations.......I've met very few people who were able to "outsmart" God......Those " idiots" who chose to "believe" usually believe that a child has to reach the age of accountability to be held responsible for their choices. If you want me to tell you the EXACT age of accountability-----I'll be glad to...as soon as you tell me the EXACT day of maturity.
