Eugene and Taylor starting safties, as expected. Downs played plenty recorded either a sack or TFL. Toliver was 4th. we never got close to going 4 wide.
UNC was missing 2 SS, 2 CBs and their ends. 5 of those guys were projected 1st round draft picks. If you think that didn't hurt UNC you're nuts but nice try.
Because of turnovers and stupid penalties. Roughing the friggin' punter?? That drive was stopped. The D should've been off the field. And holding on a TD run. Should've been the nail in the coffin. And fumbling...D has to go back out instead of the offense continuing to chew clock. That's the point. LSU didn't ALMOST lose because Shep didn't touch the ball enough.
First of all, I'll admit I'm wrong, but will you? There aren't 5 projected first rounders on their entire team. And nobody in their secondary is one of their projected first rounders. But you're right...they were missing the entire secondary and some linemen. They weren't missing any LBers.
It was made official a couple of weeks before the game. August 24th to be exact. But I wasn't counting Allen. Should've though. Since you guys are claiming everyone they were missing was not only a starter, but a first round draft choice. Allen was released after Baker broke his jaw, can we count Baker? You do know their guys have been on the scout team while their replacements have been getting all the snaps "since August", right? Doesn't matter. The point of my post was and is that Shepard not getting enough touches has nothing to do with LSU ALMOST losing the game. Turnovers, penalties, and shoddy passing defense down the stretch. Period.
take away roughing the punter fumble on 1st and goal holding that was not holding on a TD run LSU kills the Tar Heels and LSU still has the same head coach I know it's all about 2 or 3 plays a game but please CLM is not a problem
