    I am not bothered.
    Oversigning.com

Use google for articles. There are tons of news articles on this subject.

ESPN isn't done on this subject. I would expect to see more stories on other schools as well.

You can't say he LIED about it because there is no other side of the story. This is just like a disgruntled employee. They can go and talk all the crap they want about what caused them to fail, but the fact is THEY failed to do the job. How do you know that the actual meeting that happened after the letter was sent was because of said letter? You don't know. Nobody knows but the parties involved. You right this isn't rocket science.

IMHO The evidence available supports what Garrett said. My guess LSU clearly had a numbers problem, this is a fact. Now my opinion on the matter is that Z. Lee was signed, Garrett was then expendable, but they wanted to keep him knowing his parents could probably afford it and they needed another QB option. Came up with the stupid he can be a walk-on crap to see if Garrett bit. Of course, it all backfired on Les.

At the end of the day, it really doesn't matter, all the Garrett part did was possibly show how the school acts when the numbers are not on. Either way even if it were not Garrett it would be someone else.

The way Porter was handled was just pure wrong in my opinion.

who??? link??? or do you have some inside info??

I have not seen one article where Miles is quoted as saying that CG did not do X, he broke Y agreement, that he was lazy, or anything like that. Why do people keep using that as a factual point for their arguments. I really wish someone would show me that from a credible source. I really would.

except you, espn, and hungry hippo garrett seem to think he was cut cause of oversigning. he was cut because the coaches asked things of him, and he refused to comply or uphold his end of the bargain on his scholly. that is why he was cut.

you want to argue oversigning, then do it with facts. using garrett is not a fact. its taking a disgruntled kid who didnt get to sit on his ass and have the job handed to him like he wanted, and pretending he was cut for no other reason than being over the number.

the anger at espn is parading a kid with an axe to grind in front of the cameras, and not being honest about why he was cut.

Doesn't matter, 85 is 85. If Garrett wouldn't have been canned then you would probably see someone else on there with Porter.

The evidence supports what Garrett said happened but it's mostly irrelevant, all did was add a face to the story. Either way someone was going to be left on the cutting room floor.

LSU oversigns, just like they are oversigning this year. Whether you agree or disagree with what they are doing is your choice, but they are doing it.

Asking a player to grayshirt happens all the time (ex. Trindon Holliday & Harry Coleman). Porter decided he did not want to wait and take a year off and he left. Nothing purely wrong their in my opinion, but it will all go away and CG will hold the clipboard on the sideline @ lol piss for the next 2 years. So whatever...

I agree with this. There is nothing wrong with asking someone to greyshirt. It happens. Coaches have to make their best guess at how many schollys they will have and sometimes it doesn't work out. I do not believe that Miles is purposely over signing with the intention of screwing over kids. LSU is still honoring their commitment they just have to wait a semester to get the kid on successorship due to NCAA rules.

Throwing a kid off the team and not explaining why is a different story to me.

A scholarship is a 1 year contract. If you come to LSU and just expect that because your daddy was an alum at Mississippi State, and you were an all state quarterback in the state of Mississippi, that you are going to play, and not have to work your ass off for it, you contract will not be renewed for the next year.

I'm so sure Miles and company walked into Chris Garrett's house and told his family, that Miles would protect Chris, and that Chris wouldn't have work at all, he has a free ride now, he is going to be starting in year 2 and all he has to do is call domino's all day, and eat pizza. And then he talked to his coaching staff and said.... "you know, TC McCartney is a solid 3rd quarterback, we don't need Chris Garrett, especially when we have, Jordan, Jarrett, and TC.

from what i've heard Porter wanted to be interviewed again for this program (instead of relying on an interview he did after transferring to UK) because he wants to come back and play for LSU. ESPN said no.
